Kathy L. Cox
Kathy Cox, has been in the Human Resources and Risk Management profession for more than 25 years. During her career as a Human Resources and Compliance Executive she has served both profit and not-for-profit sectors.
Cox has been a speaker and presenter at numerous National Conferences and she counts Fortune 100 and 500 companies, colleges, universities and numerous non-profits as clients.
Most recently Kathy served as Vice President of Compliance and Human Resources for Newman University in Wichita, Kansas where she re-built the human resources division, developed and implemented compliance and human capital programs, recruited for faculty and staff, positioning the University as a Mid-West “Employer of Choice.”
Prior Executive appointments have been:
Senior Vice President, Professional Services Division of CAP Index, a consulting company providing business and risk analytics to business and industry.
Vice President, Human Resources and Risk Management, LodgeWorks, an owner-operator of Sierra Suites and Summerfield Suites Hotels.
For ten years Kathy has served on the Boards for Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, The Mid-West chapter of Salvation Army and Dress for Success, an agency serving underprivileged women.
Cox instructs Human Resource and Risk Management classes for Newman University, Friends University and Butler County Community College. She is a member of Society for Human Resource Management, American Society for Training and Development the Association of Executive Search Consultants and Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Cox received her B.S. in Business Administration from Kansas State University and an MBA from the University of Iowa. She is also an Associate in Risk Management with the Insurance Institute of America.
