Kirsten Reppert
Since the fall of 2003, Kirsten has been a member of the college relations staff at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. In her role as an annual fund officer, she has taken a leadership role in annual giving efforts, from solicitations to telefunding strategies, which have increased annual fund participation and giving to the college to new heights.
In the fall of 2007, after the announcement of the college’s $90 Million comprehensive campaign, A Legacy of Leadership: The Campaign for Canisius College, the annual fund telefunding efforts resulted in a remarkable 70% pledge rate among student callers. Over the last four years, the call center has increased giving by 55% and donors by 37%.
Prior to her work at Canisius, she was on the development team at Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA, where she contributed her strategies and talent to the college’s successful $100 Million Uncommon Outcomes Campaign.
Central to her passion for philanthropy is her belief that all gifts, regardless of size, make a difference to the institution. Her success in fundraising can be attributed to her affinity for strategic thinking/planning, donor and volunteer relations, interpersonal communication, mentoring, and leadership development. She has received public recognition for her contributions, including awards from CASE and JAA, and was co-awarded the George M. Martin Advancement Award in 2008 for her service to Canisius College.
Kirsten has a BA from Juniata College and an MS in Organizational Communication and Leadership from Canisius College. She will complete her MBA requirements from Canisius in the fall of 2009. Her thesis, titled “Effects of Feedback Sensitivity on Job Satisfaction and Role Ambiguity,” was most recently accepted and highlighted as one of the top papers by Eastern Communication Association in their 2008 conference.
"Kirsten's dynamic presentation and encouraging leadership helped our student Phonathon callers prepare for the beginning of our calling season. She was professional, enthusiastic, and dedicated. Many thanks!" Claudia C. Broman | Annual Fund Manager | Northland College
