The Eckerd College Campaign
Eckerd College recently made the public announcement of Many Experiences, One Spirit: The Campaign for Eckerd College. In the two and a half years of the Campaign’s advanced gift phase, Eckerd’s Advancement Staff raised $65 million, causing the College’s Board of Trustees to increase the fundraising goal to $80 million. The major initiatives of the public phase are a new Science facility, enhancing the College’s endowment and continuing annual operating support. This Campaign will provide an opportunity for thousands of Eckerd College alumni, parents and friends to join together to provide resources for generations of students and perpetuate the extraordinary spirit of Eckerd College.

About Eckerd College:
Against a backdrop of palm trees and blue water, in an atmosphere of intellectual richness and openness, through remarkable relationships and experiences of many kinds, Eckerd College changes lives.
Located on 188 acres of waterfront property in St. Petersburg, Florida, Eckerd College is a private, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences offering nearly 40 majors and known distinctively for marine science, environmental studies, international relations and global affairs, creative writing, organizational studies, study abroad, and civic engagement.
Eckerd College is one of only 40 schools listed in Loren Pope's trusted Colleges That Change Lives. In 2003, Eckerd was awarded a coveted Phi Beta Kappa chapter for the quality of its undergraduate education; Eckerd was named one of 13 “Institutions of Excellence in the First College Year”; and Eckerd was ranked the #1 U.S. baccalaureate institution with the highest proportion of students who study abroad during their undergraduate careers.
Founded in 1958 as Florida Presbyterian College and related by covenant to the Presbyterian Church (USA), Eckerd embraces diversity in its community. Eckerd’s residential program draws 1,800 students from just under 45 states (nearly 75% are out-of-state) and 28 countries. The Program for Experienced Learners enrolls nearly 1,000 Tampa Bay working adults in an evening and weekend bachelor's degree program.
